12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Michigan State University

We will be creating a visual simulation of the US/Mexico border on MSU's campus to minutely represent the current, daily struggles of border-crossers.

If you are interested in participating in this incredibly visual, creative protest, please email cgonzalez425@gmail.com for location details and others logistics.

We are asking that organizations and/or individuals wanting to be added to our list of endorsers to email cgonzalez425@gmail.com.

**********************************************************************************
CROSSING BORDERS COMES WITH NEVER-ENDING ADVERSITY AND SACRIFICE.
NO ONE "WANTS" TO RISK DEATH, RAPE & DEPORTATION.
...NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TOO!

Border Deaths:
-Last year, the US Border Patrol found 463 dead bodies of those trying to get across the border--a 42.5% jump from 2004.
-During the past 3 years, nearly 1, 500 people have died trying to cross the US/Mexican border.

Border Enforcement is Racist:
-88.8% of agents are assigned to the US/Mexico border.
-In 2001, 3.4% of border patrol agents were along the border with Canada even though the 9/11 "terrorists" entered through the US/Canada border. http://trac.syr/edu/immigration/reports/143/
-We must denounce anti-Immigrant vigilantes for what they are--THE REAL THREAT TO NATIONAL SECURITY!

THE REALITY IS THAT OUR BEAUTIFUL GENTE'S ARE BEING HUNTED DOWN LIKE ANIMALS, KEPT IN DETENTION CENTERS AND THEN CRUELLY DEPORTED, DISCARDED, USED...THIS IS DISGUSTING!

....BUT STILL OUR CORAZONES ARE FIERCE AND APASIONADOS, OUR BEAUTIFUL HISTORY CONTINUES TO BE SHARED
...NUESTRAS CULTURAS CONTINUE TO THRIVE, TO SURVIVE!
